About the hub

The Wellbeing Hub is a place for staff to access services, support and documentation for wellbeing and mental health advice.

With the unprecedented challenge of COVID-19, our colleagues’ mental health and wellbeing is of paramount concern. Our aim is to provide signposts to those who need assistance. We encourage those that need help to seek it at the earliest opportunity.

The hub will allow you to access bespoke support and guidance services, from one place, supplied by the organisations that employ you.

Your organisation has supplied guidance which is focused on support for:

  • COVID-19
  • Mental health
  • Bereavement
  • Emergency services
  • Domestic abuse
  • Debt advice
  • Addiction
  • People with disabilities
  • Relationship support
  • Lesbian, gay , bisexual, transgender/transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual (LGBTQIA)
  • Black, asian, and minority ethnic (BAME)
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Faiths, religions and personal beliefs
  • Training
  • Career development
  • Peer support
  • Recruitment

This service is designed to be a centralised area of resources, to help you find organisation specific advice and documentation to get the help that is needed, when it is needed.

We aim to help our valued teams, working within our health care services; those employed within the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We will reach out to the wider community to represent services that sometimes feel distanced. These include:

  • Emergency care
  • Non-emergency care
  • Patient support
  • Care homes
  • Pharmacies
  • General Practitioners (GPs) and GP staff

The future of the hub

In the first instance, this service will provide signposting to relevant organisations that specialise in self-help and advice regarding mental health and wellbeing.

Our aim is for this Hub to provide ongoing assistance to healthcare staff and to provide support and advice in many other ways, tailored to your requirements:

  • Events
  • Webinars
  • Care plans

There will be a place for you to leave your feedback.  There will be a dedicated response team to make sure your voice is heard.

You will be provided with organisation specific training to improve and normalise help-seeking behaviour.

We will overcome the stigma and barriers to access mental health and wellbeing services.

We will provide rapid clinical assessment for staff members who are dealing with a mental health or wellbeing challenge, to identify where help is required.
