About us

The Wellbeing Hub is for health and care staff living or working within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, whatever their role. We're part of the NHS.

Some people will experience emotional and psychological difficulties at work or at home. They may be less inclined to seek help or may prefer not to access the occupational health that is available where they work. In some cases there may not be an offer available.

You can access our service if you work within one of the following:
- an NHS Trust.
- Social Care for Local Authority.
- Any Health or Social Care role for a private / 3rd sector provider commissioned by a Local Authority, Integrated Care Board or by NHS England.
- Primary Care.
- Public health e.g. the HSA or public health roles based in local authority.

How it works

Accessing the hub is by self-referral. It is free and confidential. Although you are welcome to call us, why not complete a 'stress test' first? This will give you a guide as to where you are emotionally right now. You may find only need some help and guidance to get back on track. But if you need more support, call us and we can arrange a psychological assessment for you.

This assessment will determine what support and treatment is right for you. This could be self-help guides, psychological learning (SilverCloud), or signposting to your employer's counselling service or to the NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme. After your assessment our team member will agree with you any follow-up checks to see how you're getting on.
